What is KO?
KnowledgeOman.com (KO) is an online community platform specifically engineered to create a knowledge based economy with a focus on developing the Information and Communication Technology Sector in Oman. The aim of this project is to solidify His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said's Progressive Vision to transform the Sultanate into a Knowledge Society and build a knowledge-based economy.
KO is managed by a team of dedicated professionals from various industries working together to share, exchange and promote knowledge across the Sultanate.

To learn more about studying at the German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech), a group of 23 Omani tour-guides from Bahwan Travel Agencies visited GUtech on Tuesday morning June 30th 2009. The guides were introduced to the activities and academic life at the GUtech campus in Athaiba and they spoke to Professor Dr. Dieter Soyer, fly-in professor for the BSc Regional Management and Tourism Programme. Since the majority of tourists visiting the Sultanate are from German speaking countries, the guides included GUtech in their programme. The tour guides are currently on a 30 day training-course around the North of the Sultanate. In the past weeks they also met decision-makers from different ministries and Sultan Qaboos University.
