As land areas gets smaller by the day with growth of construction all around, parking space for vehicles becomes a growing problem. Some areas such as Muttrah, CBD, Ruwi, etc have very little open land around and at times it becomes extremely difficult to find space to park your car. As a result many offices are re-locating in far flung areas to avoid congestion.

Have a look at this video clip about how Car Park Technology can solve such problems. I was totally floored on watching this technology and wondered why no one is bringing this technology into Oman. I can see a wise business opportunity here.

This is a good concept, but I'm sure it requires a lot of infrastructure and AI machinery.

I came across a cheaper solution called "double decker parking" which could be implemented in Tilal Complex, Bowshar.

Working of such a parking is very simple and does not require huge infrastructure.

As I'm posting from a smartphone, I cannot embed a video. But I'll do it once I find a PC, which will give you a better idea of what I'm talking about.

That is very costly and at the moment, I am not sure it is feasible in Muscat

Yes, on second thoughts I would consider this to be an costly proposition. Perhaps it may be too early for Oman, I do not know. Let us wait for Admin. Manager to roll out his cheaper alternative for parking.
